Default EBCM sensor

I'm wondering if anyone has the part number to this sensor? I believe I asked a while back and someone sent me a part number that they said worked, I bought it, and the connector is different than my current one. I think this is leading to the service active handling etc message on my dash with a C1296 DTC.

This shows that the part fits, but you can see from my pictures that the male and female connectors are different. What gives?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,, Now you have my curiosity pegged. I have two new sensors at home and the one on this module;

Im going to have to find the two that I have and see what style they are....

The one in the picture looks like it the one on the right.

Try Gene Culley www.gmpartshouse.com If anybody would know, he will. I wonder if its just a jumper harness difference. If it isnt that, maybe it the difference between active handling and no active handling. Just a guess.

If you find out the answer, please post it.

Bill

Thanks for the insight, Bill. I will send one of the GM vendors a email to try and figure this out. The only thing I do know is that I need the sensor replaced.

I sent a email to both Gene and Kevin (parts-Taxi) with a link to this thread so maybe we can get this figured out.

Bill-Did you get a chance to check your other 2 sensors?

Bill, that sounds correct.

I looked up the sensor and it says its for C6 corvette, so, perhaps, the new corvettes got an update in the sensor that superseded ours, but requires the new harness, too.
