Default 2000 c5 floor pan

I ran over a small piece of wood and put a 1/2 inch hole in the fiberglass
floor pan, can i use the bondo with fiberglass matt mixed in. Im a new corvette owner and from now on I wont be running over anything

as Dave said, that should be fine

C5 floor pan is balsa wood with SMC(fiberglass on each side, the grey color you see is the SMC

very common to have battle wounds from road debris

Thanks, put the hole in it the first day, It will never happen again I blamed the wife for talking to me while I was driving and not keeping my eyes on the road. Thanks guys for the answers.

I AGREE!!! The best repair would be an EPOXY repair. There are several excellent epoxy glue products that you can pick from.

For your repair, I would hunt down something called PC-7. Most hardware stores have it as well as most autoparts stores and walmart.

It comes in two small cans. Its nice and thick and when mixed properly you can easily smash it into the damaged area.

Apply a small round patch of celephane wrap over the repair and them use duct tape to hold the epoxy in place until it cures. Once it cures remove the tape and the celephane will come right off. The repair will be pretty much flush and will only require some light sanding to get it to blend in. EPOXY will not shrink like bondo will.
