well after 3000 miles, I so far have $3000 plus on repairs,and its in the shop now with more problems,,, loved the car but my nerves are shot, my visa is maxed, unable to get a full nite of sleep and wondering should I take to the dealer and trading it for a simple ride...this has been the worse car I ever owed,, at 56 years old this is saying alot...sorry if I offended you or anyone else here...I hope you can understand.
If you still want a vette get a C3. Easier to fix. What you get for your C5 you can get a nice C3 and have cash left over. My C5 is going up for sale soon. And I will be in the market for a C3.

No offence to the C3 guys, but come one. A C3 is not even in the same ballpark as a C5. All they have in common is the name and the fact that they're both two-seaters. I won't even get into the difference in driveability. But, whatever floats your boat. Of course, it is much easier to work on. But that is true of almost any car of that era. Electronics have improved performance but created a different nightmare when it comes to troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
