I have a good friend with a 2000 vette. So here goes the door lock only on the drivers side dont work at all no more. If you use the set up on the drivers door only the pass/side locks, plus if you use the key set and hit the lock the same thing only the pass/side locks. So help here and the cost for part if you have had this problem. Only want to take this panel off one time.. Robert
I believe i am experiencing the same problem. My key fob will only lock the passenger side door. the car will actually think that both doors are locked bc if you open the "locked" drivers door the alarm will go off. as a temporary fix i just lock the doom manually from the inside before i shut the door then use the fob to lock the other door.
I went to a corvette specialist about my problem and he said something about hooking a "door control module" in an attempt to fix my problem. I havent researched it any further due to a lack of time. hope this could be of some use.
BTW once you know how to do it you can take the door card off in under 5 minutes! its really easy.
Yep. I would guess bad relay in door control module. Just replaced the lock and unlock in my passenger side door while I had the panel off doing the window regulator replacement. Bought my relays from Digikey for about $2 apiece. It was a pain to desolder and remove silicone coating, but a board was about $400. You can find some used boards for $200-$250. I figured they also had used relays, so....
