a friends 99 is having some electrical problems, a mechanic says his computer that runs the abs is gone and they cannot get them anymore for some reason??? I am thinking it might be the ECBM but just guessing on that...anyone know if you can still get the computer that handles the ABS ??? any info would be appreciated
I have never seen a report here on the forum about a successful repair of the 2000 and earlier EBCM. Perhaps the folk at the link you provided have a solution???? Just saying no one has posted success repairing the 2000 and earlier. I have seen lots of posts of guys getting taken by those that say they can repair the pre 2001 EBCM's and ultimately couldn't.
I emailed the guy and asked about the 2000 specifically.

If you read it it was for a 2000. Not sure if it will apply to a 99.

oh, I read it alright but it wouldnt be the first time an ebay seller lied or was wrong about what he was selling would it? as mentioned above, this would be the first time a solution for the 00 ebcm issue has surfaced and as an 00 owner this is a big deal so its worth checking.
