I bought a replacement mirror on eBay but am unsure how to be remove the old mirror. If I'm understanding previous threads correctly, there are 4 plastic arms that need to be popped out in order to free up the mirror. A bit of prying and I still can't see any "arms".
These pics. are kind of crappy but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
Is the red arrow in the second pic. 1 of the arms I'm trying to pop off?
I managed to get the mirror free of the backing plate. My last task is to remove the black plastic trim piece that surrounds the old mirror. I've tried heating the mirror with no luck. I'm afraid too much force will break the trim. The mirror almost appears to have been glued to the trim.
Anyone have any luck removing this piece?
Thanks.
Finally got it off by soaking in really hot water. Would have been better to leave in on as the new mirror is a bit smaller than original. Should have just glued the new mirror on top of the old.
