Secondary Air Injection Pump

Can anyone tell me how to gain access to the air pump. I know its under the Drivers side headlight, but how do you get to it?

Jack up the front of the car and remove the close out panel under the front facia. Once it off its easy to find:

As you have probably read I’ am getting the P1416 code, I did the clean out method you suggested and verified the valve is functioning properly by using air. Air does get past the valve and the valve does prevent air form getting back to the pump. What I noticed was that the air pump is not coming on at cold start. Now I want to check the Pump and control circuit. Do you know of a way I can turn on / power the pump independently? I don’t have a schematic of the control circuit and would greatly appreciate any help.
