Cool!
I'm new to the LS engines. My background is in old school Rat motor solid flat tappet or solid roller stuff. With adjustable valvetrains.
Different annimals as the pushrod length is used to set geometry. The rocker stud height sets lash.
I will be degreeing my LS cam this weekend, followed by checking PTV and then geometry check and finally establishing pushrod length. It should be fun.
It has been good for me to read along here prior to doing the work.
Let me know what you come up with for a wipe pattern with the stock rockers. From what I have read, they are too flat to get a decent wipe pattern. I am thinking with a higher than stock lift cam they will have to be shimmed some to get the geometry correct. Plus with the valve job it may have changed some as well. Let me know what you come up with.
Good. I love those rockers. Do for sure be accurate with your wipe pattern. On my all of my TFS head builds I have had to almost double the heigth of the shim that comes with them to get the right geometry. Usually inbetween .080 and .095 if I am remembering correctly. It has been a while. Just a heads up. I would do it with the head off and some checker springs in there but you can use the same method with the heads on the car.
