Took the car to the dealer for the first oil change(3000) and the Oil Life reading went back up to 100%, well I went to Jiffy Loob for the 6000 and the Oil Life reading stayed at 87%...is there something the dealer did that JL didn't? Is there some magic switch that put the reading back to 100%?
you have to reset it yourself...there are a two ways that i know, i just turn the ignition w/o starting it and press the gas pedal three times, and it should reset itself.

And after if works, get on your knees and beg for ever doubting my omniscience. :p:

I'll keep that in mind the next time I get the oil changed
My owners manual for my 2002 says to turn the key on without starting the engine. Press the TRIP button so the OIL LIFE percentage is displayed. Press RESET and hold for two seconds. The OIL LIFE REMAIN 100% will appear. He is right, you have to do that yourself. The Jiffy Lube people probably don't have a clue how to reset it.
