It sounds like your heater core is leaking. It probably needs replaced. I haven't had the pleasure of doing one on a corvette but I did one on a 1980 camaro and its not fun.

I agree with the others. The heater core is located on the passenger side.

well I guess I'll just bypass it if thats the problem theres not much use for a heater in Miami Fla. I don't think I've ever used it the coldest it ever really gets is mid 50's what you can't live with out here is A/C 84 degrees yesterday thats for the Info.

Maybe just a hose connection at the core and not the core itself. Still a bitch to get to...

Leaking from passenger side....where? Front of the engine area? Onto the floorboard in the passenger footwell or outside the car under the passenger side, rear of the engine block? The usual causes of a leak are a failing water pump, cracked surge tank nipple and a crack on the radiator although usually the left side of it.

The heater core is not located on the passenger side!
It is located directly in the middle under the evaporator core what you have leaking is most likely a hose.
99% Of the time a heater core will leak into the interior on the passenger floor and you will smell the coolent when the heater comes on.
Ask me how I know........

Hey you're right Bob. I must have been thinking about that easily clogged plenum drain. Thanks for the correction.
