I did some research but haven't found exactly what I wanted so I'll post here. I'll be tuning my H/C Z06 this summer and the injectors wont support > 450 rwhp. Looking for some injectors that flow enough AND have the proper data for HpTuners (and I wont have to pay for it).
#42 injectors look about right, thoughts? Suggestions? Which brand?
Send your stockers to FIC and tell them how many GPH you want @ 58 PSI. Worked fine for me. Didn't touch offsets, just injector flow & injector timing.
Keep in mind, the C5s had 2 injector sizes - 24# and 28#. My '99 had the 24# and they were over 100% DC after FAST 78 intake, headers, and 226* cam.
I am now running the Ford SVO red top 30# injectors at 467 rwhp with injector duty cycles in the upper 80s. Selecting injectors is one time when bigger isn't necessarily better. You want big enough to support WOT but the smaller injectors can give better idle control. Anywhere between 30# to 42# injectors will work fine, but no need to go big if your build doesn't need it. You wont make more power with oversized injectors.
Thanks for the input everyone. I am leaning towards Lucas 42lb/hr injectors since i can get them locally and flow matched. Sounds like those are on the high end but I should be ok. Also thinking about the Ford SVO injectors if I can't get Lucas data.

Get the Lucas 42's I have a set of SVO 30's and they are all right but the 42 data is much better than any of the SVO Red Top data out there. A bigger injector wont hurt anything and as long as you have good data for it, the street manners will be fine too. The most important part is the DATA!!
Duty cycle with depend on AFR also. Running 12.5:1 vs. 13.0:1 will eat up some of the injector. My 383 has used 30lb (36 at our pressure) red tops for the last 5 years.
Those of you that have ford and lucas injectors that work perfectly, do you run a wide band?
The ford injector data doesn't so easily relate to the GM parameters. I tried Ford green tops and some Lucas and I could get them to idle pretty good but they went way rich on decel.
On the other hand, the oem injectors resized, with only the injector flow data changed worked just like they did before being resized.
How about posting up the correct injector data for the fords and lucas for the ls1/ls6 PCM if you have it?

The ford data is for injectors @ 42.5 psi while the GM data is rated for 58psi. Their used to be a program on MS excel that would help you get close to the 58psi results from the orginal 42.5psi Data. But it still left some error and didnt fill in all the blanks. Had to play with things here and there.
One way to tell if your injector data in the tune is close to being correct is to compare your MPG reading on the DIC with actual calculated MPG. After some small changes to the "redtop" data in my tune, I now have the average MPG very close. When I first installed the redtops with the stock injector data, the DIC showed way high average MPG.
