I tried a search, but didn't find this info, so.... How long do you need to run the ABS motor when flushing the brake fluid to get that fluid cleaned out too? Also how can you remove the old fluid from the front part of the master reservoir? I thought about removing the reservoir, but then the fluid still left in the front part would make a mess. I removed what I could out of the reservoir, then ran the ABS pump for maybe 60 seconds and bled the fluid from each caliper. It was hard to tell when only fresh fluid was coming out the bleeder because the color didn't change much. I used about 1 1/2 liters. Sound about right?
Thanks
I think I used about a liter when I did mine. I didn't mess with running the abs though. I was told the only way to get a good bleed on that was with a Tech 2.
When I bleed the brakes I use different color fluids, that way you know when the new stuff is coming through. I use this from Strano racing, http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...=194&ModelID=7
One is blue, the other amber. Makes it easy to tell.
Thanks, I will try the colored fluid. I heard about it, but didn't have any at the time. I did use my Tech 2 to run the ABS, thought it would be good to work it once in a while any way.
