Default Driver window won't come down

Drove my 1999 Vette today and noticed the driver window won't come down. I hear a click when I press the switch, but don't hear the motor engaging. The click I hear is just one click each time I press up or down on the switch. Sounds like the switch is working and maybe the motor just stopped? Has been working fine and has been going up and down normally. I drive this once a week or so. Any tips on where to start trouble shooting? Passenger side works fine. Have not checked fuses, as I figured both would be on the same fuse?

If you can get a volt meter on the wires to the motor you know if it's the relay or the motor..
I think there have been problems (cold solder joints) with the relay located on the door control module.

Do a search and there should be others who have fixed this problem

Its usually one of two things, the relay in the door control module or the motor has developed a problem in one of the windings. As suggested already, pull the door panel off and use a meter to verify if you are getting power to the motor connector. If you are, then you've got a bad motor. Now, just in case is a case of corrosion on that motor winding/armature, try using a small hammer or other object to rap on the motor while pushing the down button. Yes, its inside of the door area meaning the hammer or whatever must be small enough to get inside that area.

Had similar issue with mine, but my issue turned out to be a broken wheel/pulley in which the spooled wire runs through to lift and lower the window. Had to buy the whole assembly anyway.

There was a thread a few years ago about this problem. The solution was to wack the inside door panel with a rubber mallet. Thread tells you where to hit the door. Worked for me. Force required won't damage the door plastic or leave any marks. Sounds Rube Goldberg - but it works.

My pass. side window wouldn't work one day, so while driving i kept bumping the switch (down) and finally it worked, and been ok since (knock on wood).. I think they may stick from lack of use..So I try to use alittle more,,(up and down)... hope this helps...
