If the brake pins aren't lubricated on a regular basis they can compress then not release completely. You can take the calipers off and put some brake lubricant on them then see if that changes anything.
Have you inspected the parking brake recently? They may be dragging. Check the calipers first though.

I would also check the rotors for lateral run-out or warpage. This can cause severe vibration when braking from speed. May also be the cause of the spotty deposits on the rotors. GL
