Hurst Short Shifter?

Hello I have a 1998 corvette, and I don't like the way the shifter goes into 5th. It's kind of tricky because the gear goes in at a weird angle. I really want to buy a new shifter to avoid missing 5th.Would you recommend a Hurst Shifter, I heard it's an excellent shifter! Any suggestions?

I have a hurst and like it. It gets a little stiffer but its because the shifter arm is shorter and less leverage. It was deffinately a huge upgrade over my 01 shifter that I replaced 2 years ago. Is it the best? No idea. I like it.

I have one on my '01 Z. I used to have a B&M on my YK2 Vert. I don't like this hurst as much as I did the B&M. BUT, the transmission difference may play a factor..

Do yourself a favor and do the "anti-venom" mod when you install your new shifter. I drove my Hurst for a year before I did. I like it much better now.
