I purchased and installed a titanium VooDoo shift ****, my immediate impression was one of amasement. The round **** and the ripper combination is terrific. It's hard to quantify the difference but the whole setup feels more sensitive and substantial than the Momo/ripper I had before. It also gives the interior that little bit of under stated high end attitude look. If you might be looking for something a little different this is worth a look. Just a note, they are made to fit the C5, no adapters and set screws.
Sorry, no camera, but you can see pics at http://www.teamvoodoo.com . Titanium are pricy at $125 but they have Aluminum models, much less expensive. I had mine laser engraved ($20) with their logo, looks way cool.
Rick,
Heat is always a problem with metal shift *****. But they do make a cloth cover or "bootie" to over the **** when it's too hot to handle. It's always something.
I have the same **** and couldn't agree more. The look is reminiscent of the Stingray retro chrome **** look. Quality piece for sure and zero rattle with the Ripper.
Eric,
I origionally had the same reservations, I too had a competition plus with the large ball, years ago and liked it very much. But this one matches up very well with the short shifter. If you have hands like bushel baskets you might have a leget concern but for the average driver this fits very well, for me, any way. I take a size medium driving glove so my hands are a bit on the small size to begin with. If you get a chance try one on another car, I think you will be suprised. This concern may be related to the old road vs. drag racing and what is better suited to each.
