Cam info on lsa differences.
To say that everything else is the same on 2 cams yet one is on a say 113 and the other a 115lsa?
I know the sound will be different. One more choppier than the other. But my question is more about a dyno number.
I know the the 115 will idle easier and be a better DD cam but I'm more interested in a proposed hp difference with everything being exactly the same. Same heads, car, gears, headers, everything.
Looking for everyones opinion on this.
The only thing I could think of is with a different lsa the ILC is different and the valves will be opening at different points. But when spec-ing a cam from a company like comp cams, you can also choose the same ILC no matter the lsa of choice.
Granted the figures will probably be able to be ground into a cam blank but it's very obvious a LSA with a ILC of something rediculous like 106 will not be a practical or common choice. So I guess I'd like to keep the discussion as close to real world as possible.
Looking forward to some depots from some cam guru's. I love to learn
the 113 lsa will peak sooner then the 115 lsa

There really is not much difference between a 113 and a 115. Just get the 113
once you start getting an LSA less then 112, +1 or +2 or something like a 110 +4 then you see differences.
If you like the choppy idle a 112 is great.
I run a 224/224 581/581 112+4 chops like a son of a gun. Of course solid motor mounts help that too.

I haven't finished my build yet so I won't know my cams numbers for a couple more weeks. I was just going over everything I have put into this build and figured I'd get an opinion or two and maybe learn something as well.
Thanks for the replies.

I'm very interested in getting my car on the dyno to see what happens.
But once the buffer goes on it's a whole new ball game

I can't wait to get this feeling
