Little input

2000 frc stock with exception to a Vararam power tube with black wing 160. Thermostat, b&b prt cat backs and a cust tune.
I'm fixing to move forward, I am buying long tube headers with new x pipe to meet up with my cat backs and a ls6 intake. That's first.
Then within a month going ahead with new gears have not decided between 3.90 or 4.10 along with new clutch,(does not really need it)
Remote bleeder and new slave.
And after a short break I may go to heads and cam. But that will be it,
I do not race the car just go out and enjoy it.
I need some input what would you guys recommend
C'mon help me out here I only get one shot at this ok.
Fixing to start ordering stuff just want to make sure I'm thinking straight.
Thanks everyone
Mike

Headers: American Racing Headers, LT headers or Kooks. Depending on how much you want to spend. If you plan on upgrading your heads & cam or adding a blower in the future; I would suggest getting the 1 7/8" runners. Since you're keeping your cat-back, make sure you get the 3x2.5 x-pipe. I'm not sure what the smog regulations are like in texas but IF you can get away with a catless x-pipe, you can save some cash. Otherwise go with the hi-flow cats.
Gears: If you don't plan on racing.. Don't switch out the gears.
Clutch: No need to upgrade until you do heads/cam
Heads/cam: Make sure you do your research before picking your heads/cam. Some hi-lift cams require flycut pistons. If you do upgrade, you might want to upgrade your oil pump, timing chain and clutch aswell. A wise man once told me. Pick a cam that you think is right for your setup.. Then get the next one up. Once it's installed.. You're going to want more. And you'll regret not getting that larger cam.
Just my 2cents

It sounds like you are on the right track, with the headers first! I used Kooks and have been extremely satisfied with them for five years. I am running Flowmaster Force II cat back.
For gears it is hard to advise as I don't know your driving habits. I have had 3.42, 3.73, and now have 4.10. I love them all but will probably stay with the 4.10 as most of my time is in the canyons and the more technical the better!
Heads and cam are a must as you will at some time outgrow the power and need more, but that can wait.
Do think about stiffer suspension, as good shocks and sway bars really make the ride more enjoyable!
This is going to be a fun ride!

Thanks guy's
