First of all, Im new to the forum! Glad to finally join rather than being a goon that just read posts.
Secondly, I know some basics on how to program using LS edit. I really just looking to lean out my car. Its running way to rich. I have K&N air filter, Z06 intake/intake manifold. Long tube headers and borla exhaust with not cats. I also have 3.42 gears. The car has been professionally tuned before with my locked copy of LS edit but the car is running way to rich.
I know what to do once in LS edit but I cant for the life of me find on any forum or and tutorial where the plug in is for the cables! I know its either under the glove box or under the driver side below the steering wheel. I dont feel like digging into the car too much until I know the actual location of the plug in.
Can someone point me to the location via picture or a link to a site that does?
I believe that the only way you can access the system is through the OBDII port located under the steering column. You may have a "window valet" plugged into the port that is making it hard to find. Good Luck.
If you can't figure out the ONLY place to plug it in, better not fool with it. Lean out the car too much and you'll have melted pistons-leave it to the pros.
As far as letting a "professional" do the job, HA! The last "profesional" I let work on my car effed things up so bad that I had him immediately remove most of the stuff he put on. I'm not doing anything radical, just minor adjustments to the fuel map. The thing backfires like crazy and Im going through spark plugs like a fat kid and candy. If anything I'm probably just going to download a pre-made mapping.

Thanks. That's where I figured it was. I actually found it after I posted this. There is literally no lighting in my apt's garage so it was digging in the dark.

You probably need to do an AUTO VE tune. If your running very rich, monitor your fuel trims. If there significantly positive, that’s your issue.
Adjust your Volumemetric Efficiency (VE) Table and then your MAF tables. An Auto VE tune requires the use of a wide band O2 monitor!!
I know that EFI Live has an AUTO VE tuning function. I do not know if LS1 Edit has that feature.
You’re going to need a WIDE BAND to be able to make any logical and meaningful adjustments. If you don’t have a wide band,,, I STRONGLY recommend NOT fooling with any tables that alter fueling!

Not sure how you sit in your car, but my knees are under the column, not under my ***.
Apparently, you are incapable of understanding a sarcastic instruction...
