I have a 2000 C5 i recently replaced the radiator but in the process i broke one of the tubes on the smog pump i got one from vette nuts but my check engine light came on and gave me the code 0410 but i also had the code B0605 which is that internal malfunction code i have not had one problem with my car it runs fine i checked the # 27 fuse for the in the fuse panel next to the bcm it was fine also checked the ground wire from next to the battery down to the frame it is fine im going to replace smog pump with a new one but should i do anything about the B0605 code if im not having any problems?
This is the best site to diagnose DTC's --They start with the easiest things 1st and move on to the more complex
As far as the BCM codes---Most of the time they are "false" codes--I would clear them and see if they reuturn
Yes i searched the code the B0605 code is for the BCM some kind of internal memory thing from what ive searched means i need a new bcm but im not having any kind of problems so not sure what to do.
Just as a thing to try....disconnect the battery, wait about 30 seconds, then reconnect. Clear all the codes using the DIC. Then restart and see if any codes come back.
