Difference is: the waterfall emblem is smaller, curved and fitted inside a depression in the waterfall. The nose emblem is wider, flatter, and may say "anniversary 50" (if yours is an "03) the waterfall emblems will not designate "anniversary 50" ...(perhaps the Anniversary Red cars may, not sure...)

I sold one recently that has the two tips on it and is curved as a "C5 nose emblem" and the guy said it was not the right emblem for the nose. i want to relist it and want to be sure.
