Default Couple minor issues...

So I recently picked up an 01 C5 Vert. Runs just fine (actually, its a damn rocket and I love it ) but there's a couple minor issues.

Main one is apparently the oil pressure sending unit has bit the dust. All 3 gauges are pegged out and the digi one is reading 130 PSI. I'm not a Vette expert, but I know enough about motors to know that much pressure would've started breaking things by now.

Other thing is the adjustable bolsters and lumbar support on the driver side. Is there any way to fix these w/o replacing the seat?

Last thing is the weather seals on the top. They leak a little bit where the seams are, but only when it's raining cats and dogs out. Anyway to tighten that seal up w/o having to replace the stripping completely?

Like I mentioned, I'm not Vette expert, so any and all help and advice is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

All three items can be remedied by running an advanced search and specifying C5 Tech as the forum.

The OPS is behind the intake manifold. When you buy a new one, I suggest you locate a "brass" one. GM's replacement probably will not last anywhere from minutes to a week. You'll need to either pull the intake, which is easy, or cut a hole through the cowling to obtain access to it.

The usual causes of the lumbar supports failing is the plastic line that connects to the inflatable bag, breaks off at the bag. You can very cheaply replace the bag with a medical blood pressure cuff replacement. Use the child cuffs for the side lumbars and the adult size for the main lumbars. Its easier to do this removing the seat but its not hard at all.

The seals are available from GM of course but are very expensive. You can obtain aftermarket seals from Mamotorworks for less money, but also less quality...but they do work.
