Anybody used ABSfixer recently? Were they a little slow to respond to questions? From the reviews the service itself is same day turn around...
I have my EBCM out and ready to ship but my email and voicemail from Monday has not been responded to. I'll give it a couple more days I guess but I don't want to send an expensive part and $150 to a place that's on vaction or out of business.

Your profile indicates the car is an 02 Z06. You don't indicate if the DTC you have is C1214 or something else. There is a writeup on repairing the EBCM your self if the code is C1214:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...r-fleabay.html
Might be worth doing your self as you are NOT the first one to complain about the responsiveness of the said vendor.

I had the relay in the EBCM replaced and the C1214 went away. Per the Service Manuals (big Helm ones) there was a special tool to diagnose further. Took it to the dealership and they claim it is still the EBCM. ...I am open to the idea that they are wrong (and wouldn't be too suprised).
The codes the stealership reported when they checked were
C1277 Requested Torque Signal CKT Malfunction
C1278 TCS Temporarily Inhibited By PCM
and one other (I'm at work now.. can't remember which one it was)

That they won't touch it w/o it being a C1214 problem makes me think that either the EBCM is unrepairable or the problem isn't cause by the EBCM. Agree?
Perhaps I should reinstall the EBCM and see what codes I see now and not just what the Dealer put on the invoice. I hadn't checked the codes since last year so I only *remember* that is was C1214 that went away. Of course with the EBCM pulled I have TCM NO COMM and U1040 HC.
The third code they reported was P1571 ASR Desired Torque.
The procedure for "DTC C1277 or P1571" should be what the dealership did. I think at this point I have to hope they came to the right conclusion. Do you suggest I buy a refurbished EBCM from ABS fixer (or whereever)?
Maybe someone has a known good EBCM I could borrow to see if the symptoms change?

I sent mine to ABSfixer about two weeks ago, got an e-mail from Brandon when he received it, another when repair was complete, and another when it shipped along with the tracking number. No complaints from me.

I know this is an old thread, but it's the first result on google, and I wanted to post in case other people like me were trying to figure out what to do about their 1214 error.
I called ABSFixer on 3/20/2017, and Brandon confirmed that module repair and return shipping was a same day turnaround. I removed and mailed the module that day. I shipped it USPS. I agonized whether to purchase insurance or not, because it requires a signature. I ended up getting the insurance and shipping overnight. The next day I got a notice that delivery was attempted, but no one was there for signature. Oh well. The following day I got an automated email from ABSFixer saying they had received the module. An hour later I got automated emails saying the module had been repaired and shipped. I had paid for two day return shipping and sure enough, two days later the module arrived.
I reinstalled it and the error is gone. I'm very satisfied with the service. The only thing I'm disappointed in is myself, for not trying to open it up and repair it myself. I did some reading while waiting for the module, and I should have at least tried resoldering before sending it in. There are great instructions on this forum.
Bottom line, if you want peace of mind and a short turnaround, ABSFixer is a great option.

He repaired my EBCM last November and my A/C Heat controller back in the winter, same day turn around on each, no problems. Email communication was good for both repairs.
