Default X-Pipe Installation

I have seen installations where the X-pipe completely replaces the H-pipe, and others where the X-pipe is used with the H-pipe wherein it is installed upstream between the cats and H-pipe. Does anyone know which is the correct/preferred approach? Thanks.

I have the Corsa X pipe on my car. It replaces the original H pipe. I don't think there is any "correct" approach. Replacing the H pipe is easier because you you just unbolt the over-the-axle pipes from the back and then only have to cut once on each of the pipes leaving the cats. I don't know of any advantage of leaving both the H pipe in and a new X pipe further forward, unless you are going to get rid of the cats. Most of the people that have put X pipes in forward of the H pipe are doing so by replacing the cats with the X pipe.

If you have both, you are depleting the purpose of the X-pipe. Go with the X-pipe and that is it. :)
