Default Need help with check engine Light!

I was stopped at a light, and when I began to accelerate the check engine light flashed acouple times in a steady pattern (3-5) and shut off immediately, after I researched some check engine diagnosis I figured the cause of the light was the fact my exhaust doesn't have cetelitic converters, again I was driving today and the engine light began to flash again this time a steady flash but it lasted much longer, and it would stop for a little bit then begin back up (only happened twice) then did not come back on again. I read more about it and I've seen everything from it's a common problem among c5's and should go away on its own to the fact it may be a misfire on one of the cylinders, it would be much apreciated if someone could shed some light On what it might be, just the thought of hurting my c5 kills me

Misfire code most likely. Pull your codes bet you have a P030x code.

Your car has to be running poorly!!! Thats a standard MISFIRE CODE.

Check the wires and plugs first. How old are they?? The stock GM wires are pretty much shot by now if there OEM.. If there bad,, get the GM Performance RED Wires.

Gene Culley www.gmpartshouse.com has them for a great price!
