Re: Step by step Blackwing Installation (motordavid)
Good info, I paid $40.00 for the dealer to do it. "A day late and a dollar short" How do you like the Stinger/Blackwing combo? I feel more muscular now.
Re: Step by step Blackwing Installation (rozdesign)
One thing to add here, Rich is obviously doing this on an older C5, and things have changed a bit (MAF plug, etc.). And those of us with later models need to consider the new coupler piece to accommodate the larger diameter MAF.
Re: Step by step Blackwing Installation (rozdesign)
Very pleased with the install. I could tell right away the gain in torque. The A4 seemed to shift through the gears much better as well.
Buckeyes are cool until gameday for football and hoops then we :boxing. Columbus is a good place to party.
In regard to "older C5" bite your tongue, it's better than my beater 1990 Honda Civic (EX bizzatch), but you are correct, I need a new one, I'll take yours :D
Re: Step by step Blackwing Installation (rozdesign)
Good job Rich, thanks. :yesnod:
I'm planning on doing that mod this weekend, however I will also be replacing the radiator shroud that the previous owner cut for his Vortex. Once you get the filter, MAF and bridge off, how much of a job does the shroud look like?
