To all you C5 owers that maybe what a cam, rods, cold air intake, and springs can do to the performance of your Vette
I've had the stage 3 package installed on my 2002 z06 from east Texas muscle cars. I knew the car was much faster than it was as stock..
The car had been running in the high 9's and low 10's, only because of traction problems.. Until last night at Northstar Raceway in Denton Tx..
A friend promised he would show up with a set of M Thompsons that I could borrow to make a pass in....the rest goes as follows
No one including me and really the guy standing at the staging lane says that new 5.0 is fixen to dust you bro I said yea I have been having traction problems...
We stage and we leave and I never seen the 5.0 again I ran 7.99 at 89 mph.. (really) I was stunned I get my tech sheet and head back to the staging lane where the same guy was standing and he says quote sir you are done here tonight, you did not tell anyone the car would run in the sevens I told him I was as stunned as everyone else needless to say I'm welcome back there anytime with the proper racing gear...
Stephen this post is for you bro dam good job on Z man
Can't wait to get her back to you in May to get the 2.5 heads installed

Default faster part 2

wow i guess i just thought it was quick.. now its fast my goal was to be able to run with some of the newer c6 vettes
well i guess for now with 440 RWHP is enough but with the up grades already done bt ETMC the supercharger will be next
your right Stephen its never going to be enough..... thanks again for taking great care of my Z... I havent had a chance to get it to the strip yet but do plan on going to the super chevy show in ennis this weekend
its a 1/4 mile there.... the 2.5 heads that you suggested really has given the car one hell of a top end boost dam from 65 mph to about 125 mph is nasty holy cow man
anyway ill be seeing you soon brother
