Why would I get a B0516 H code ??
'02 Z06 .. The book says the IPC detected vehicle speed in excess of 200 mph. :eek: I don't think so :) Haven't fallen off any cliffs lately. Anyone have an idea what else might cause this code? I cleared it and will monitor to see if it repeats.

Check VSS connections at the rearend. I believe it's on the top. Check speedometer operation at all speeds. Chances are a connector problem caused the loss of the signal between the VSS and the PCM, that can throw a code according to the SM. Troubleshooting is limited to checking connections, without a scan tool to run diags on the modules, and in fact connection problems usually are the culprits. :yesnod:

Hi there,
Jerry, there is a simple communications glitch there.
I have seen this a number of times, all in different vehicles. Not a problem, simply clear the code, and you will be fine.
If the code reappears, then appropriate diagnostics should be performed.
