Default Is this a homemade ABS bypass?

I am working on a friend's 2000 'vert, in exchange for driving privileges on warm sunny days

I found what appears to me to be a solenoid valve inserted into the ABS line. Is that what you guys see? (it's the cylindrical object with the two black wires coming out of a black rubber grommet)

I found upgraded sway bars, holes where a roll bar was formerly in place and an MSD fuel pump booster. I am guessing the former owner was an autocrosser or something. The new owner has no clue what any of this stuff is.

But this solenoid valve thing baffles me a bit. I had a 2001 Z06 a did a fair amount of work on it, but I am not sure about some of the things I see in this 2000. But this solenoid does NOT look stock to me. The wiring is zip-tied onto the outside of the wiring boot and I think it goes to a switch inside the cabin.

Any thoughts on what this is and what it might accomplish would be appreciated.

Is there a switch inside? It may have been a line lock.

Most likely a line lock solenoid used to aid in drag strip burnouts.

I'm voting that it's a line lock, car probably saw a lot of time on the drag strip. The fuel pump booster may indicate this car had forced induction at one point.

Ahhh... I had to Google "line lock" to get the full gist, but it makes sense.

The bigger issue with the car is a "no start condition", but I have been through Bill C's world famous "Important Electrical Info" before, so I will be diving head first into that soon!

Thanks guys!

Yup, a no name line lock. I have the same on my Nova.
