It worked perfect and exactly as described. Before installation he was getting pull key for 10 sec. messages and Service Column Lock messages. I tuned out the 2mp shutoff last week.
Problem solved forever!

I'm going to add the following for someone in the future that may get stuck:
LMC5 CLB Service Column Lock Pull Key Evansville Indiana
I have an extra LMC5 in my desk drawer. I'm not selling it. It's for any of my forum or Evansville buddies that get stuck somewhere
and need one in this area. I'll install it and you'll pay me for the cost of the module. Might save someone a bunch of cash
and make me feel good to share what I've learned here!

CLB is a mechanical relay that goes in place of the steering wheel lock motor (driver's side dash). So, the signal path from the BCM still goes through the column lock motor relay (next to the BCM) and the column lock motor harness.
LMC5 is a solid-state relay that attaches immediately to the BCM (under the passenger footwell), bypassing not only the column lock motor but also the relay and harness. It supposedly also addresses some timing glitches with some BCMs that could still cause a CLB to fail.
From an engineering perspective, I think the LMC5 is the better solution, which is why I installed one in my car last week, after having been stranded for the third time AFTER the stealership did the recall (no problems ever before the recall was done). So far, works like a charm.
