Hi guys! I am seriously thinking about ordering the borla straight pipes tonight.
What are your opinions on them? I want the to be really loud, but I am afraid I won't like the tone of them. I love the stingers, but am trying to avoid paying that much money.
Let me know what you guys think!
I am also thinking about the GHL Bullets. Any opinions?

They're definitely loud. I had stock exhaust and Borla straights and really liked the sound. Then I had them with headers and no cats. That was way too loud
I love my straight pipes wouldn't trade for nothing. They are quite mellow at idle and if you drive normal there real nice but when you lay into it look out you will wake the dead. I get compliments all the time.
I run them during tracking season as they are 35lbs lighter than my Bassanis. They are tolerable as long as you don't lay into them. Here is a vid of mine at 150+ at Charlotte Motor Speedway:
Loud? way understated. I have resorted to this until I can switch back to something else or I can afford the rear mount setup.
I am having a sticker made that says, "because racecar" made.
Here is a vid of mine right after I put them on. I have fixed the tip being jacked up. and ignore the comentary near the end, some people dont understand when recording.

I have non stock heads, cam intake and long tubes on my car. I found straight pipes to sound great but they were just way to loud. Setting off car alarms all over the place.
Even though I loved the sound when I tried them, I had to really be aware of my surroundings if I hit the gas. Cops will have no problem hearing you before they can see you, and that's just at part throttle.
I had the Borla straight pipes before and liked them when the motor was stock. Once I did heads and cam it got WAY too loud. Even now with 3in bullet mufflers people think my car is loud but it was ridiculous from outside the car with the Borla's. Sounded like a top fuel car. Lol. If you want loud but not super crazy, maybe look at the SLP resonator or a Billy Boat bullet exhaust.
I put Borla XR1 Multicore bullets in my straight pipes, it's louder than stingers but still smooth and deep doesn't really drone either even with H/C/I and LG Pro catless LTs.
I have the Stingers and they are about as loud as I want yet quiet when not getting on the gas.
Some people will say the Stingers are too loud or not loud enough so this is obviously just my opinion.
I would save up to get the Stingers. The best part is when you start the car. It is the most beautiful sound I ever heard and heads do turn even old ladies.

RUMMMBAAA!!!!! HAHAHA THATS CLASSIC!
I have the borla 12649 so I have helo pilot helmets with intagrated headset so you can talk to the passenger wouldnt change it for the world
i absolutely love my straight's. when people first get in for a ride they feel a need to talk louder than normal, but they quikly realize that it isnt really necessary. i dont understand it, but they arent as loud as they seem to be if that makes sense?? but they sound like a jon boat at idle, however at wot they sound amazing and make you forget all the other lil insignificant things!!
but what do i know, im 18 and thing drone is a gift from God to keep pansies outta my dang car
I also have a weight reduction of 68lbs that was hanging off the *** end of my vette..
I dont know what gave me the biggest gain...the improved flow or the huge weight loss. You can actually feel the car likes the shedded weight.
My 99 FRC now weights in at 3, 089lbs with me in it.
