Charging system fault
Got in my car this morning and immediatley after I started it I got a charging system fault/failure on the DIC. The notification went away as quickly as it came up. 14.3 volts at startup, 14.1 during the drive. Car started with no issues after that. Got a new battery and no codes. Was this a glitch or is it leading to something?

I get that message occasionally when the car has been sitting for longer than a week. I just drive it, and it goes away.
One thing you might want to check is if the battery terminals are secure. If they're loose, you'll get this message

The service manual says its normal for the message to pop on and clear shortly after you see it. If it stays on for any length of time, there could be an issue.

Mine does this as well, same deal, just clears itself after 1-2 seconds. Its done this about 5 times now, typically after I have left the doors open for a while or pulled the battery down somehow. But this morning I did no such thing, so I'm not sure why it popped up. Doesn't seem to be a real problem though so f it
