Default TCM issues

I have been trying to piece together this puzzle and may be at the end. I have some issues with my car codes include P0856 and P1689 P0463 and today was told a 2000 code not sure which one. So the TC has No comm. on the DIC and on scan tool and after some research also found out that the wheel sensors are attached to ECBM and I am having a problem syncing those as well. I do however have ABS but if the module was bad wouldn't the ABS be shot? I have cleaned every ground and connector on the car, with no luck. Now to throw things into the mix I was told today that my fuel sensors are also run through this mod. ???? could it be one bad unit causing all this chaos? Can I find someone with the same year and switch the ECBM and see if it works or do the options have to be the same as well?

I don't know who you've been talking to....but stop listening to them The wheel speed sensors are connected to the EBCM; however, there is nothing to "sync". If you are referring to the tire pressure sensors not syncing, that is a different sensor(and issue) altogether. The pressure sensors do no "connect" to the EBCM. Finally, there are no fuel sensors connected to the EBCM either. As hard as EBCMs are to find, good luck finding someone that willl let you put their good EBCM, in a known bad position.

I started to get the impression the guy informing of these things was just trying to get rid of me so he was telling me to just change the EBCM. I see what you are saying with the pressure sensors not being attached, that makes sense. What the question of ABS. I have ABS but no comm to TCM. Is this an indication of something?

If you had dual climate control, and the A/C shut off randomly(lost power), coupled with the P1689 & P0856......I be leaning toward the ignition switch.

The shop that gave you that info is FUC%$!!

Heres my recommendation:

LOL!

I agree,, Get a good read on the DTCs and list what you have..

IF,, there are a significant number of old history DTCs,,, go ahead and CLEAR ALL OF THEM and take the car for a short drive until you experience the issue that you are having.

IMMEDIATELY,, without turning the ignition OFF,, pull up the DTCS and list ALL of the DTCS that you have. Make sure that you list all of the DTC format (example TCM C1233 H OR TCM C0593 HC ) The H & C is an important modifier for the issue.
