I bought my 98 about 2 years ago and have been driving it with no issues. When I got the car and begain reading Threads on this forum about column lock issues I figured that my car had been fixed(It's a automatic and the column did not lock with key removed). Well my wife and I were set for a ride last Sunday. I got in, started the car, put it in reverse to back out of the garage and it stalled.I started it again and noticed the "COLUMN LOCK REMOVE KEY WAIT 10 SEC".
I came back to re-research this issue on the Forum. I already knew about the CB kits sold by Huston and others but did not know about the LMC5 fix.
I ordered one, put it in and all is OK!! Great instructions and easy install.

The combined knowledge base of this forum is unbelievable !! Very unlikely you'll ever run across a problem that hasn't already been discussed, dissected and resolved (with maybe the EBCM being the lone exception for the older C5s). And to top it off, the folks in here are friendly and love to help. I love this forum.
