Clutch
Hi all anybody know what this sound means I have 6speed and when letting clutch out it makes a winding noise does this mean I need knew clutch and anybody have idea how it cost to replace,everything works just a winding noise,doesn't stay once clutch is up it goes away its just for a second or two for the noise?

well first of all where are you located so perhaps someone can direct you to a good repair facility...
cost....depends...shop our vendors...if you want stock parts GMPartshouse or Parts Taxi both sell the packages....my last swap I went with the LS7 setup in my blown 99...labor will be more than parts

Oh sorry I'm n Florida broward county,is the car supposed to make a little noise when clutch is let up,

Horsepower Sales is close to you I believe...
none of my clutches have ever made noise on release unless they were toast

Pewter99 the car drives fine shifts perfect with no problems and I don't drive it hard the sound is like loose aluminum kind of sound

I feel kind of stupid it's not the clutch making noise its engine noise like when Rpm r to low and engine catching up boy I feel stupid

If it's a rattling sound when starting off from a stop it's normal. Something to do with the throw out bearing. Not a problem.
