LS7 high oil temps?
I was cruising down behind my father in his z06. He has an ls6.
I have an ls7. We were consistently monitoring and I alwayws was 39-41F hotter oil temps than he was! I was always behind him..
Max temp w/o oil cooler was 252 after a pull to 150mph.
HOping the C6 Z06 cooler drops temps quite a bit.
Is this normal with an ls7?
If it is, why such a high oil pressure?
Thanks

My LS7 with with no cooler runs in the 220s for city/rural driving, 230-240 on the highway, and will get to 270 if I run back to back at an autocross.

That is EXACTLY the temps I am seeing... If i do a pull to 160 it will get to 253
I installed the oil cooler last night... Still have to do some wiring for the oil temps.
Car gets noticeably slower when oil temp got hotter of 235.

Almost sounds like timing is being pulled because of high intake air temperatures.
