CLB Installed and Still Locked
My '99 FRC locked up the other day. I thought that the previous owner (my nephew) had installed the CLB but it turned out he had only done the dealer recall. My good luck was that I had put 50,000 miles on the car without a problem.
I ordered a CLB and installed it. It locked up.
I removed fuses 25 and 29, waited and reinstalled and it's still locked.
I did not remove the K harness, nor could I identify the dealer installed relay situated by the BCM to remove and jump it.
What did I do wrong?
Could someone post a picture of the offending relay?
I looked for pins 30 and 87 (the ones that needed to be jumped), but I couldn't identify those either. Does someone have a picture of their approximate positions?
I wouldn't ask, but I've read thirty some pages in the sticky and I thought that what I've done so far would get me going.
Here's a link to a large image of my BCM:

Note: I'm far from an expert on the CL.

Just to make sure that the problem wasn't a low battery, I put the battery tender on last night, but I think that 8VETTE7 has given me a push in the right direction.
I'm headed out to the garage now.
I'll let you know how I make out.
Funny how this happened when I'm just a few hundred short of a 100,000 miles (the car, not me. I've got considerably more miles. <g>).

I had read some posts that said the relay removal and jumper install might not be necessary, but that was not the case for me.
A big public thank you to 8VETTE7 for pointing me in the right direction.

I had read some posts that said relay removal might not be necessary in some instances. In my case it was necessary.
My car came with an aftermarket stereo that can puncture eardrums when turned up to 11. Some of the wiring for this stereo was hiding the relay that I needed to remove. Once I removed the relay and installed the jumper all was well. It's all detailed in the sticky.
