Default Questions about 2000 key fob

Im having issues with my key fob not working after a few minutes of "relearning" ,I figured it was a bad unit so I found one on ebay for $60.00 so when I got it , I programmed it and it worked only as long as a minute each of the 3 times I reprogrammed the key fob. Well I mixed and matched parts from my old and new key fob and it worked all day and I made a point of trying it atleast 10 times at various times a day and never failed to work , The following morning I tried again and no power, Im stumped, does anyone have a clue what I could try. to makes matter worse, I called the guy that sold me the key fob and he said the unit worked but would refund my money less shipping it back to him and a 20% "restocking fee" to offset the advertizing on Ebay . What a crock of _hit!

You can try resoldering the connections on the printed circuit board on the fob. Some have had success, but many have had to buy a NEW fob. When you buy a used older fob, you're buying someone else's problem. The newer style (01-04) fobs don't seem to have the problem and used ones work fine on those model years. The 2000 has long been a problem for just the issue you describe. I read a thread here recently with instructions on how to successfully solder the connections, but I didn't save it.
