No oil pressure.
Anyway, drove it with over a hundred miles to the track with no problems, made three runs and on the last run it lost all oil pressure. It still ran and sounded normal so I thought maybe a wire got melted, but then the valvetrain started to rattle. The oil level was fine and still pretty new looking.
After getting the car home I figured the oil pump went bad (still stock), so I connected my oil pump priming tool and still no oil pressure. I removed the oil filter and it appeared clean, but I dont have the tool to cut it open. I cranked the engine with the filter off and it did pump oil out where it would normally enter the filter. I put the filter back on and then took out the oil pressure sensor and cranked it over (assuming oil would come out of the sensor port) and nothing. Took off the valve covers and even the push rods were bone dry.
I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge to verify, but I am waiting on the metric fittings. But at least I can test the pressure directly at the oil pump port with it too.
Does this sound like a spun cam bearing? That's the only thing I can think of right now.
I was planning on forging the bottom end anyway, so the engine is on its way out.
