Gas cap issue fuel pressure issue

Gas cap issue fuel pressure issue
Do you guys think a new gas cap will fix this issue?
IF I drive around town for a while and maybe get on it through a gear. When I stop often I hear a POOSHH!!! Then down below the rear passenger marker light on the back fuel escapes. and drissles down.
If I catch it fast enough all I have to do is open the fuel cap and its a LOT of pressure. I mean a LOT.
To stop this I can just put the cap on but not tighten it and it appears to stop this.
My fuel pressure guage is not working on my fuel rail I am wonderring also if its causing fuel pressure issues at WOT.
I have a 97 C5 it HAD the return style system on it until me not knowing better changed it over to the 2000+ model returnless systems.
MY Z has an evap purge around the fuel rail that is not on this car should I try to add one somehow?

YES,, find a system that will match up to your 97 and provide the venting that you need..
