Re: Granatelli MAF. Does it really add HP? (PeterK)
IMHO, call Vette Essentials and get a killer leather center console with the MAF money. I have been keeping track of most of the MAF threads and it just is not worth $275+

The electonics should be similar on the F-bods and all the 01-02' guys have pretty good gains with the Graneteli because they run so rich from the start. Are most of the anti-MAF threads by older cars or the 01-02's?

This is not a simple question to answer. Once you begin mods, especially air intake mods, air to fuel ratios start getting slightly out of wack. With my mods on a 2001 Coupe, my car runs and dynos better with a GMS MAF. It has better air to fuel ratios than it does with the stock MAF, and I did dyno both the GMS MAF and the stock MAF with my current mods. The GMS MAF gave me A/F ratios right around 12 - 12.5, the stock MAF gave me **** poor ratios..around 9-10. Both dyno runs were done after proper time for the PCM to relearn the MAF.

Re: Granatelli MAF. Does it really add HP? (PeterK)
It all depends with your mods. I recommend the SLP 85mm high flow MAF for half the price. But your gains are minimal. The time you need more air is when you go with different Cam, Heads, and Intake. You will benefit the most then with the larger MAF.
