VTD and LTS

I have a 2001 NBM coupe that I drive every day. Love it. Truly love it. But sometimes....
On May 20th, I experienced my first issue ever with the Vehicle Theft Deterrent system. It would not start (but had all other electrical stuff working) for about 5 minutes. I was getting ready to jump start it, but decided to give it one more try and of course, it started.
I researched the issue here (love the forum too) and found a number of threads about VTD, ignition key replacement, ground locations, etc. I checked the electrical system and see good voltage on the battery and good current from the alternator. The problem would occur at least once a day, but start after the 3 minute delay. Cleaning of the contacts made no difference. I figured I would have to replace the ignition switch.
About a week ago, the left turn signal bulb went out. Because it is my daily driver, this is a common occurrence.
Then this last week, the VTD pattern changed. It would not start at all after work on Thursday. Finally gave it a jump start and it started right up. Pulled the battery and had it checked, all good. Friday it repeated the previous VTD pattern. So, I decided to sort it out this last Saturday.
On Saturday morning I went to move the car on the ramps and of course, it wouldn't start at all. I checked the battery again and it still showed good. I decided to go ahead and replace the Left Turn Signal bulb at this time. When I removed it, it was almost black instead of orange. The new bulb worked fine. Double checked the socket and it also looked fine.
After that the car started fine. I have driven it every day since, with no current codes being shown (only history) and no VTD delay.
Sorry for the lengh.
