I have a Texas Speed Torquer V2 cam with a 113 lsa in my C5. It has a non-name brand converter which supposedly stalls to 3200...It is a dog around town in my opinion and I would like to get some of my drivability back since the car RARELY sees the drag strip. What would be a good converter for spirited driving...without the 13.7 mpgs with just bolt-ons? Texas Speed recommends 3000 or higher stall, but sheesh with the 3.15's its not fun...especially with the exhaust just droning.
The Yank SS3200 would work well with 3.15 gears. For top notch performance I would get 3.73 gears and the yank SS3600. I had this combo in my car it gave great street manners and excellent performance.
4000?! Caleb I would have to drive a car with a 4000 stall before I ever committed to that. I bought the car with that cam and stall from a guy in the Airforce here in SC, and if it wasn't for the cam, I would have tossed in a lower stall months ago.
I like the highway gears and with no cats I really don't need this thing at high rpm's puttering along. I am looking at Yank 3200 on this forum now, so that may be an option.
You can give me a hand putting it in when you get back, and bring Lemons with you.
