Default Code P0410 chasedown-need input

I know, it has been beat to death. But, looking for guidance.

No air from pump at separated hose connection on driver's side on 2001 LS1. From what I read here, it could be micro relay 33, the pump or a vacuum line under battery. Vacuum line looks fine. The code throws every 30-50 miles or so. Darned yellow light makes me crazy.

1. So, can I switch out relay 39(fog light ) with relay 33 to see if the relay is bad?

2. If so, where is best place to buy a relay?

3. Are any of the handheld aftermarket programmers capable of tuning out the AIR? No way am I going to a dealer.

Thanks , all !

Dave

Why would you change the relay? Is the pump running or not?

Do you have vacuum at the air pump shut off valve at start up?

There's also an actuator valve located near the pump. Yours may not be opening to allow the air into the hose.

#1&2: Sure, try switching the relays as you suggested. They are common relays, and Advance Auto or Auto Zone should have or can get them.

#3: You will need a programmer such as a Tech 2 or HP Tuners to delete the Secondary AIR program from the PCM.

Thanks lucky. The link you posted w/pics, while I was still typing, is worth a thousand words!

Default I'm going to the link, but

to answer the questions:
The pump does not seem to be running-can't hear it anyway and there is no air coming from the pump end of the parted driver's side hose.

Thanks for the info and the link.
