Alright guys, I love the DIY threads. But I am stuck. I have a 97 with dual zone A/C. Last winter I had to replace the driver side blend door actuator. Vehicle worked fine. Now recently, the driver side is warmer than the pass side. No big deal, I know some Chevrolets have to be re-calibrated when the actuator is replaced, I have a friend that works for my local dealer, so I dropped by. Per him, there is no calibration for it through GM Tech 2. He suggested that either the new actuator is bad...ERRRR...or a wiring issue. So I tore back into the dash and I am stuck. Both actuators are working, they are opening an closing correctly with no jams, both cycle the same distance.
Is there another actuator that I am missing? The pass side is ice cold, driver side warm, defrost, floor vents, all are cycling correctly, except the temp in balance.
IF they are both working as you say, I would take a look at the freon charge. This is a common problem and can be the charge in the system is not correct, there is enough to cool the passenger but not the drivers side. There was a great write up on here the other day, try to find and read it, its under "AC in a 99 Vet"
