VaraRam test # 2
Earlier this month I posted info on my initial test of the VaraRam Intake

This is the second event that I have run the car with no changes other than the VaraRam Intake. The results remained pretty much the same as the first round of testing.
The car is a 1999 STOCK C5 A4 3:15 rear. STOCK means as it came from the factory. The car just turned 20K miles. The VaraRam with the K&N filter has been the only mod applied to the car.
Here are my results from Saturday at the Cartek Corvette Challenge. I was running DR's this time to try to cure some of the wheel spin that I encountered on the Run Flats with the new intake.

Best Run 13.302 104.89 Temp 55F -400 ft Altitude E-Town
Best Run Conditions Similar to Today
13.564 102.41 Temp 82F +1700 ft Altitude E-Town
During Time Trials With VaraRam 5/25/2002
3:55 PM 13.187 106.24 Temp 78F +1600 ft Altitude E-Town
4:38 PM 13.036 106.78
5:45 PM 13.094 106.49 Temp 74F +1200 ft
All Runs Launch off Idle
Reference to another stock car at the race. 1998 C5 A4 3:15

with Run Flats.
The difference between the 2 cars round by round was
0.388
0.628 (this is a throw away)
0.310
There was also a Yellow Y2K A4 with a Blackwing as the only modification. Don't have a lot of info on his runs but in a breif converation he indicated that he was running 13.3's (dialed 13.35). I red lighted against him in the third round of eliminations. If anyone has better info on this car maybe they can post it. Car number was 7193.

Great info!! Thanks for posting. It sounds like this system has some real potential. Now someone should try this, who has one of the other bottom breathers on the market. Compare them back to back. :yesnod:
