I think putting some poly pads between the metal to metal areas would be a sweet idea. then shim the outer pads to compensate for the vertical rise. I would use a semi-rigid poly and make sure it's clamped down appropriately.
It makes no sense to put a piece of something between the mount and crossmember to try and eliminate these vibration issues you are hearing about. If you do want to isolate it more then you need to also put the same something around the bolts and also under the nuts.
Better would be to get a softer material for the middle mounting point and the outer snubbers.
FYI, drivetrain torque does not cause any left to right rocking of the drivetrain. The engine to differential being one big piece means the motor torque gets converted to a straight up lifting force.
