I will be putting my car into the Charlestowne mall in St. Charles tomorrow to hype the Bloomington Gold. The mall requires that we disconnect the battery. Will I have a problem after disconnecting the battery other than radio stations and clock? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks.
Ken
I have disconnected my battery many times for days at a time while upgrading the stereo and alarm. Somehow it still remembers my settings. No problems at all. :smash:
You will only have to reprogram your key FOBs. Check the owners manual. It's simple.
This is true. I remove the car's battery completely when mine goes into storage each winter (Minnesota - ) and the only settings lost are with the fobs. You may have to perform an idle relearn, though, or just drive the car for 50 miles, or so, if the PCM reverts back to factory settings from adaptive settings. This certainly is not a big deal either as the car will run fine and perform the relearn all by itself. You will not even know it's happening, except the car may run a little smoother and quicker.
