Default Trickflow 215's 59cc and MS3?

Thinking of doing some trickflow 215cc heads on my stock shortblock with the MS3 cam.The cam is in my motor already and Im not changing it.The TFS heads are 59cc chambers. Will I be 'ok' with the ptv clearance? What head gaskets?

Well..........you can calc it and decide if your in the "ballpark". But you will need to physically measure it to be certain.

To get an ballpark idea you will need..........................
First you need cam specs.....with your ICL.
Second, if you could come up with your valve drop number..(not mandatory but helps)
Third, you need to measure your piston "out of the hole"....
Fourth, head gasket compressed thickness..........
Fifth, valve size....intake and exhaust.

The correct way IMO, is the dial indicator method. If you degree the cam in, then you will have the "exact" ICL of the cam. (checker springs, solid lifter, dial indicator, mag base and an adjustable pushrod or the correct length)

And for a street application.........typically .080" on the intake and .100" on the exhaust are considered minimums.

Good luck with your project......

Thanks................

I had that same setup on my car. Ptv was still good. The angle of the TFS heads really helps. Of course, claying the piston to be safe never hurts. I made 500rwhp with that setup and 12.3:1cr on e85, I think youll like it.
