Check Engine Light
This car is relatively new to me....only a month and a half...and the only thing I've done to it was have the 1st to 4th shift disabled with the skip shift by-pass from Corvette Mods.
Is there a reason there is no code being displayed even though the CEL is on? Should I take it in and have a Auto Zone or Advance Auto read the codes when the light comes back on?
Thanks

You mentioned that you saw a HISTORY??? If you saw a H there was a DTC infront of it.
The read DTCs when using the IPC look like this in the DIC
10 PCM P-XXXX H
or
10 PCM P-XXXX C
or
10 PCM P-XXXX HC
or
10 PCM NO COMMS
Shortly after the light came on:
1. I did pull into a parking lot
2. Leaving the engine running, I pressed the "reset"
3. I then brought up the codes
4. As the system ran through the codes I did not see anything indicating a "C" current.
5. Everything from RDCM on had an "H" - prior to that it literally reads "no codes." (It's a 99 if that makes a difference.)
I'm not sure it's pertinent, but the last time this happened, I cleared everything after the system ran its diagnosis - with engine running. This is first time the CEL has appeared since then.

POST ALL THE DTCS !! However insignificant they seem and even if thay dont seem to be important,,, most of the time thay ALL tell a complex telling story as to what could be causing the issue..
EVEN U SERIES codes tell me a lot about the status of the modules in your car.

Do your FOBS and Tire pressure monitors work correctly??
I have a strange feeling that your having a door wiring harness power plug connection issue.
It can be an easy fix if that turns out to be contributing to the issue.
NONE of the DTCs that you listed should have caused the CEL to come on. If your having a serial data bus issue caused by a poor connection in the door power plug connector (this is a very common issue in C5s) that could possibly be causing your issues.

Using the key, everything works fine, one turn driver's door, two turns both doors three turns rear hatch.
I'll not worry until I get a fob and see what happens then.
Thanks to you and the others for your patience and advice.
